What's your why?
Here's mine -
Service.
Serving others and serving the community.
That value has been ingrained in me for as far back as I can remember. I grew up in a home where service wasn’t just encouraged—it was a way of life, and my parents modeled it beautifully.
My mother was a teacher, and it amazed me how she could take something that seemed so impossible to a student—and make it click.
I remember watching my mom with one student in particular. Math was a struggle. He was so frustrated, ready to give up. But my mom sat with him patiently, broke things down, and, most importantly, gave him the confidence to keep trying.
That moment stuck with me. It showed me the power of belief—the way a mentor, a guide, or a trusted advisor can help unlock someone’s potential.
It’s a lesson carried over into my own years as a teacher and, eventually, into real estate.
Teaching isn’t just about reading out of a textbook and real estate isn’t just about finances—it’s about finding the right space to grow, create memories, and shape the future.
For me, real estate isn’t just a job; it’s a way to serve others and make a meaningful impact.
Whether I’m helping a first-time homebuyer navigate the process, guiding a family through an important sale, or assisting an investor in building long-term wealth, my goal is always the same: to empower.
When you work with a professional who truly cares, the process becomes less stressful, more transparent, and ultimately more rewarding.
That dedication to service is why Ben and I founded Porter Realty.
We saw an opportunity to do things differently—to build a brokerage that prioritizes service over sales—one that truly listens, educates, and empowers.
And it’s why I continue to call Ashland the Chequamegon Bay Area home, even when the winter seems unending and the air stings my face!
There’s something special about this place—the small-town charm, the deep sense of community, and the way people look out for one another.
If you or someone you know is ready to buy a home, move up to your next home, or invest in real estate, I’d love to be a resource on your journey —whether now or in the future.
Let’s talk about what’s next for you.
